The Community Health Center of Buffalo, Inc. Resiliency Center was created to be a beacon of support and healing. The center, located at 1001 East Delavan Avenue in Buffalo, New York, stands as a testament to resilience and recovery in the aftermath of the tragic events of 5/14 that was filled with racism and hate. Funded through the Federal Office for Victims of Crime Antiterrorism and Emergency Assistance Program, our mission is to provide comprehensive assistance and unwavering support to victims and survivors.

At the heart of our center is a commitment to addressing both the physical and mental health needs of East Side residents affected by the tragic events of 5/14. Our experienced and compassionate team of case coordinators and counselors will help guide individuals through the journey of healing. From counseling sessions to community programs that foster connection and strength, the Resiliency Center is dedicated to being a safe haven where survivors can rebuild their lives.

The Community Health Center of Buffalo, Inc. Resiliency Center will utilize and distribute the federal funding available through the federal Office for Victims of Crime Antiterrorism and Emergency Assistance Program. The funding must be used to serve federally defined, legally identified victims.

Who we serve through the federal funds

  • Families of the 10 victims at Tops Markets.
  • Individuals who were injured at Tops Markets.
  • Tops Markets associates who were present during the tragic event.
  • Survivors that were present in the market or parking lot at the time.
  • People within a one-block radius of the crime scene.
  • First responders (including funeral home personnel).
